Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A two week visit to the Balkans started with a flight to Athens. We took a DMU to Korinthos for few photos first day, and next day went to Tithorea for some photos. The next day saw start of Greek Easter Pelly Alco action, with a run to Pirghos on A-9103. Plenty Alco fans in town by then for an out and back to Diakopto, and next day I went to Eghio for photos along the seafront. Back to Athens the next day with a pair of Alco’s on train 301, and one of their last workings. I went north overnight to Thessaloniki and had a day chasing freights and then the overnight to Svilengrad where I stayed two nights, having some 06 and 07 in the meantime. Then moved up to Levski via visit to the depot at Gorna Orjahovica and the evening mixed train to Trojan with 07 power, and back early next morning. It was then to Sofia and the night train to Silistra, covering three 07 turns and the boat over the Danube and into Bucuresti for the overnight to Beograd. A trip down the spectacular Bar line next day as far as Bijelo Polje and out overnight to Kraljevo. Made my way to Vinkovci and then to Tuzla and north to Budapest for flight home
