Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A two week trip to Spain started with a flight to Girona and then the Barcelona - Gijón overnight to Pola de Lena and Villabona de Asturias for photos and then Gijón. A few photos next day and then a FEVE charter to Bilbao, sadly with silent 1660 on front! Next day was continuation to León and luckily for us 1660 packed up at Mataporquera and we got rescued by two little GE1500 beasts! The next few days were based in Madrid area with photos at Socuéllamos and Santa Maria de Alameda and then the “Sud Express” from Salamanca to San Sebastian to Vitoria for photos and to León for start of an Alco hauled special. Tour started with English Electric "Vulcan" 277.066 dragging 321.030 to Monforte de Lemos and then the 321 to El Ferrol. Next day was via yards at A Coruña San Diego to Pontevedra and then to Vigo Guixar and to Ourense. The last day saw Monforte based 1812 take us to Pontevedra and then the 277 back to León for the last night. Next day to Valladolid and flight back home
