Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Start of another trip to France, taking advantage of some great price weekend tickets and other summer offers. I flew to Toulouse as it was a bargain fare, and a good web ticket up to Paris next morning on a classic load fourteen IC, the way to travel! I then made my way to Caen and start of our €20 Normandie weekend ticket for two people! On the bank Holiday Friday we did Trouville-Deauville and then to Cherbourg, and on the Saturday we went to Le Havre and a couple of short diesel branches, and back to Paris on bargain web ticket in the evening. On the Sunday we left early on the Eco IC to Strasbourg with classic 15000 power on the front, just had enough time at Nancy to get to the coffee machine in as we pulled in to platform one! Once in Strasbourg we got a group Alsa Group ticket for the rest of the day and then one solo one for the Monday also. It's very much Sybic only action in the summer holidays, no 67400 work and only two 25500 turns, but the TER200s and fantastic and I love travelling on them, one of Europe's best classic 200 km/h trains! On the Tuesday morning I set off to Belfort and a two day two day Franche-Comté ticket basing myself in Montbéliard for two nights. It was pretty much a fixed bash on the Dijon 22200 turns, and sadly their stock is nowhere near as well maintained as Alsace, no water on the whole train being a sample! The Ibis at Montbéliard wasn't the best and a bus journey, but it was a good price! Managed one new 22200 next day, but in revenge SNCF then cancelled the next turn! I eventually got moving again. Back to the Belfort-Montbéliard TGV station next day to take me back to Mulhouse and Strasbourg for my last two nights. Finishing off with a Baden-Württemberg ticket for some 146 moves from Offenburg and then gleaming new 147 power to Stuttgart and my flight back home.
