Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A ten day trip to Slovenia and Croatia. The first week was PTG’s first ever tour in Slovenia “Slovenian Španka” railtour which I had organised. The first day was spent doing the branch from Ljubljana - Kamnik and then to Jesenice and to Bled Jezero. Next it was the stunning “Transalpine” line from Jesenice - Nova Gorica where we crossed the border to Gorizia. During rest of day we went to Ajdovščina and then to Villa Opicina and back via Repentabor, Kreplje, Divača and to Koper. Next day saw us head to Celje and the branches to Imeno, Rogatec and Velenje. We had more freight only trackage next day as we went to Gornja Radgona and Lendava as well as a trip to Hodoš. The next saw us go from Maribor - Bleiburg and then to Novo Mesto via Sevnica. The last day took us to Metlika and also Straža before our return to Ljubljana. I then made my way with few others to Sarajevo via Zagreb, then to Ploče for bus to Split which arrived in good time to then do the dated hauled train in the afternoon which we took to Ogulin. Straight to Zagreb next day and after quick trip on a couple of 2044s it was flight back home
