Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A twelve day trip to China started with flights via München with Lufthansa and our arrival in Beijing. We were met by local railfan and went to hotel and then to station to get some tickets issued. Next morning we did our first move with a DF11 to Tianjin Xi for an hour and back in on a DF4, the afternoon was spent seeing Tian’anmen Square and Forbidden City and then back for overnight to Changzhou. We were met there by contact and taken to the Qishuyan Loco and Rolling stock works for a visit. We later took a train from Qishuyan - Changzhou and then to Nanjing where local railfans met us and we did a trip to Chuzhou and back. Next morning the locals met us and gave us a super day of getting photos in some superb locations, plenty of big ND5 GE power to keep me happy. We then returned to Beijing on one of the very comfy Z train overnights. Our next move was on train L809 (an empty stock that is advertised as a relief) which was booked a German built NY7 win engined hydraulic for the one hour run to Changping. We returned with local to Beijing-Bei and then took night train to Dalian. There we found the expect ND5 GE power active on local trains and made few moves during day and ended up at Jinzhou for the night. Next day we had short SY steam run from Xiamiaozi - Huangjia ad the night train to Jinan where stayed the night. We went to Taishan for photos during the day, lots pairs of ND5 again. Back to Beijing next morning and after sights back to original hotel. Next day we did trip to Great Wall at Badaling and then to airport from flight home
