Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

A quick three day trip to The Netherlands as the Amsterdam - Berlin IC trains were being diverted over the brand new "Hanzelijn" line from Lelystad - Zwolle. This line is exclusively EMU operated normally so this was an opportunity not to be missed. I flew from Manchester - Schiphol via Heathrow (using Avios points) and booked two nights in the Ibis at Leiden. I picked up three new FYRA 186 soon after my arrival and then made my way to Leiden. Next day I did the diversion to Zwolle where I then found out that the inbound diversions were in fact running "main line" so continued to Almelo for the next inbound train. In the afternoon I took a FYRA to Breda for the new track and then picked up a few more 186 during the evening. On the Sunday I did the diversion to Zwolle again, then a 1700 to Utrecht and a quick spell with camera at Nieuw Vennep before flying back home
