Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

An eighteen day trip "PTG Midnight Sun" trip by land from London to Narvik using 15 day Inter Rail tickets. We travelled to Bruxelles and then north via Köln to Hamburg and then via the train ferry from Puttgarden - Rødby Færge to København for a two night stay. Next day it was to the rail museum at Odense and then the tramway museum near Borup. It was then into Sweden and a stop off in Göteborg for a quick tour of the tram system and museum on our way to Oslo. A trip on steam train from Krøderen to Vikersund was taken during out day in Oslo and then north to Trondheim via a visit to the Hamar railway museum. At Trondheim we did a visit to the mine at Løkken and a ride on the Thamshavnbanen to Bårdshaug and back and then the Trondheim tram system. Next day the long trek north to Bodø with quality Di4 traction and then the bus to Narvik and a visit to the LKAB docks before making our way south to Stockholm for three nights. Sailed with steam boat Mariefred and then rode the narrow gauge line with steam and diesel power. Next day a visit to Vasa museum and I made a trip to Eskilstuna with RC6 power vice EMU in afternoon. We then went south to Malmö for a night, making a trip to Simrishamn and an afternoon in Denmark before joining the "Berlin Night Express" via Trelleborg and Sassnitz. One day in Berlin to see the sights and then back to London via Köln and Bruxelles
