Welcome to "Phil's Loco Photos"

Start of a ten day trip to Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia, I flew with the first ever Ryanair flight from Stansted to Osijek and then made my way to Zagreb. My first day was another trip to Osijek for some 2044 action. The PTG Croatia and Bosnia tour started on the Sunday with 2062 power and doing some Zagreb freight lines then to Banova Jaruga and the slow branch to Daruvar which had to be a lightweight 2041. It was then on to Nova Kapela-Batrina and the Velika branch before returning to the main line and to Osijek. Next day to Beli Manastir, Vinkovci, Županja and then into Bosnia at Slavonski Šamac and the start of many 661s on our tour. First loco swap was at Doboj when we changed from ŽRS to ŽFBH locos. We had a quick visit to the depot at Kreka before our arrival in Tuzla. Next day was a fifteen hour circular trip from Tuzla via Zvornik Novi, Brasina, Zvornik, Šabac (avoiding line), Ruma, Šid, Tovarnik, Vinkovci, Drenovci and then Brčko on to Tulza. It was then from Tuzla to Banovići and the narrow gauge (in the pouring rain) to Turija and then back to Bosanaka Poljana, Doboj and south to Sarajevo for two nights. The highlight for the diesel fans was then the journey from Sarajevo - Ploče via Mostar, we had to have HŽ loco from Čapljina but at least we got a diesel. We managed a break at Mostar on our way back north to see the old bridge and then had a superb run with our 661 back over the mountains. It was then back north and the branch to Vareš but some rails were missing beyond Dabravina so we had to return from there and then continue to Banja Luka via Doboj. Final day of tour took us to Novi Grad and then south via Bihać to Martin Brod and then back north and via Dobrljin and Volinja to Zagreb. Next day it was a morning flight back home
